Very happy with the installation of 16 solar panels, a new load panel, an EG4 Grid Boss, 12kPV inverter and Wall mounted battery. Also he took care of the project plans and permits as well as the installation of an EV Car charger.

It was a pleasure working with Edgar on my Solar project. I have solar panels installed on a new home build and they did not install a battery. I'm on NEM 3.0 / Solar Billing which provides no benefit at all selling any energy back to Edison (they c... harge me quarters/half dollars for imports and they pay me cents for exports). We were having to pay Edison north of $300 monthly and close to double that in the summer, while having solar. We bought out the solar system for ~$18k on the new build and we were very surprised to still have a significant electricity bill even before we purchased an EV. So I analyzed my usage with Edison and the solar generation data with Enphase and I determined to get a zero balance Edison bill, I just needed to have a battery installed (total net exports and imports were roughly the same). Enter Nueva Energy. I'm the type of person who likes to get in the weeds and I agree that I am sometimes difficult to work with because I ask a lot of questions and am curious how things work and operate. I sent out a couple requests for quotes on Yelp and I asked for references from neighbors who added more panels and a battery with Sunrun. Out of all the quotes I received, Edgar from Nueva Energy was the most responsive and educated. He answered all my detailed questions very promptly. He even provided the tech sheets for the equipment that I was interested in. Edgar wasn't the most expensive but his price was reasonable compared to other prices I was getting. In addition, the other companies were very pushy and kept calling me. One company told me that the equipment I wanted would not work with my system and I would need to add more panels (which was completely wrong). It took me about 1 month to decide which company to go with for my solar batteries and Edgar was as responsive on day 1 up until I decided to move forward with him. Edgar was timely to all appointments, he walked me through everything before he proceeded with the installation. He even helped me untether from my previous installer, Sunnova; whom I've had a ton of issues with. Sunnova is one of the worst companies I've had the displeasure of dealing with and it's no surprise they're going out of business. I forgot to mention that I also wanted a whole home backup system and Edgar included all the companion components needed to make that happen. I also appreciate that on the last day of the install, he stayed late till the early evening to ensure everything was up and running before he left. All in all, I would definitely do business with Edgar again. Especially if we end up getting another EV and need more panels. I'll still reach out to Edgar when I have a question about the equipment and he is still quick to respond. I really appreciate the post customer care. I've had the EG4 batteries (30kwh total) installed for about a 7 weeks and our Edison bill is close to zero. Unfortunately, the batteries finished installing on a month that had a lot cloudy days so I wasn't able to charge the batteries much. Luckily the last 3 weeks had pretty good sun and each day the batteries charge from about 20% to 100% by the time the sun goes down. We're very happy with the installation from Nueva energy. Edgar was amazing! He installed new inverters on my 9 solar panels and hooked up a new App for me to use to monitor my solar system. He's knowledgeable, thorough, neat, personable and he didn't rush the job! I couldn't be happier with his work!

I challenged Edgar and he passed all the city inspections. Amazing job and Amazing team. I did a 1000 sqft ADU conversion in Santa Monica, and Edgar 1- took care of the city permit for Solar and we kept my Nem 2.0 with Edison 2- He also upgraded my ... electric panels from a single meter to a 400 Amps dual meter, replaced the subpanels, and of course he got all the required permits and we passed all inspections 3- Edgar wired the ADU for existing and all future electrical needs, as by 2030 gas appliances will not be sold anymore , and 240 Volts appliance will be required. My ADU is ready. 4- He took care of my fire alarm with the help of his family , as they are great electricians too. 5- And as a free bonus, he helped me to install a cellphone booster, that works with all cell carriers, and my cellphone reception is great now.
